    Las ciudades culturales son una parte importante del patrimonio histórico y cultural chino, sin embargo, en el proceso de rápida urbanización de China, algunas ciudades antiguas con características culturales muy valiosas no están bien preservadas debido a la falta de medidas de protección efectiva. Basado en los resultados de investigaciones anteriores, este trabajo presenta la situación básica, las características de distribución, el contenido y el estado de protección de las ciudades antiguas en China, tomando como caso de estudio la ciudad de Wuzhen; en la misma se ha aplicado una técnica cuantitativa de investigación, la encuesta y, se ha llevado a cabo un análisis DAFO para conocer en profundidad el equilibrio entre la apuesta sostenible y el desarrollo turístico de dicha ciudad. Además, se proponen algunas medidas para impulsar su desarrollo sostenible.<br /

    Association between cystatin C and the interaction of pulmonary tuberculosis with chronic diseases

    Purpose: To determine the association between Cystatin C (Cys C) levels and the interaction of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) with chronic diseases (CD).Methods: Participants (n = 356) were selected randomly from The First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College, China, and divided into 4 groups: normal control group (n = 80), PTB group (n = 98), chronic disease group (n = 146), and PTB combined with chronic disease group (PTB+CD, n = 31). The investigation included information on demographics and analysis of blood samples for Cys C, liver function, renal function, blood glucose and other biochemical indices.Results: The highest level of Cys C was obtained in PTB + CD group. Before and after adjusting eGFR, there was no association between Cys C and PTB or/and chronic disease. However abnormal levels of Cys C were significantly higher in PTB+CD group after adjusting eGFR (OR = 4.014, p = 0.0125).Conclusion: Higher levels of Cys C may be associated with chronic diseases co existing with PTB.Keywords: Cystatin C, Pulmonary tuberculosis, Chronic diseases, Inflammatio

    Immunological characterization of stroke-heart syndrome and identification of inflammatory therapeutic targets

    Acute cardiac dysfunction caused by stroke-heart syndrome (SHS) is the second leading cause of stroke-related death. The inflammatory response plays a significant role in the pathophysiological process of cardiac damage. However, the mechanisms underlying the brain–heart interaction are poorly understood. Therefore, we aimed to analysis the immunological characterization and identify inflammation therapeutic targets of SHS. We analyzed gene expression data of heart tissue 24 hours after induction of ischemia stoke by MCAO or sham surgery in a publicly available dataset (GSE102558) from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO). Bioinformatics analysis revealed 138 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in myocardium of MCAO-treated compared with sham-treated mice, among which, immune and inflammatory pathways were enriched. Analysis of the immune cells infiltration showed that the natural killer cell populations were significantly different between the two groups. We identified five DIREGs, Aplnr, Ccrl2, Cdkn1a, Irak2, and Serpine1 and found that their expression correlated with specific populations of infiltrating immune cells in the cardiac tissue. RT–qPCR and Western blot methods confirmed significant changes in the expression levels of Aplnr, Cdkn1a, Irak2, and Serpine1 after MCAO, which may serve as therapeutic targets to prevent cardiovascular complications after stroke

    The Systemic Evaluation and Clinical Significance of Immunological Function for Advanced Lung Cancer Patients

    Background and objective The actual evaluation of immunological function is significant for studing the tumor development and devising a treatment in time. The aim of this study is to evaluate the immunological function of advanced lung cancer patients systematically, and to discuss the clinical significance. Methods The nucleated cell amounts of advanced lung cancer patients and the healthy individuals were counted. The immune cell subsets and the levels of IL-4, INF-γ, perforin and granzyme in CD8+T cells by the flow cytometry were measured. The proliferation activity and the inhibition ratio of immune cells to several tumor cell lines were evaluated by MTT assay. Results The absolute amounts and subsets of T, B, NK cells of advanced lung cancer patients were lower than the healthy individuals (P < 0.05); However, the proportion of regulatory T cells of advanced lung cancer patients (4.00±1.84)% was lower than the healthy individuals (1.27±0.78)% (P < 0.05). The positive rates of IFN-γ perforin, granzyme in CD8+T cells decreased while them in IL-4 did not in the advanced lung cancer patients compared to the healthy control group (P < 0.05). The proliferation activity of immune cells, the positive rate of PPD masculine and the inhibition ratio to tumor cells in the advanced lung cancer patients was lower than the healthy subsets obviously (P < 0.05). Conclusion There was a significant immune depression in the advanced lung cancer patients compared to the healthy individuals

    Network analysis of cold cognition and depression in middle-aged and elder population: the moderation of grandparenting

    BackgroundCognitive decline and negative emotions are common in aging, especially decline in cold cognition which often co-occurred with depression in middle-aged and older adults. This study analyzed the interactions between cold cognition and depression in the middle-aged and elder populations using network analysis and explored the effects of grandparenting on the cold cognition-depression network.MethodsThe data of 6,900 individuals (≥ 45 years) from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) were used. The Minimum Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Epidemiology Research Center Depression Scale-10 (CESD-10) were used to assess cold cognition and depressive symptoms, respectively. Centrality indices and bridge centrality indices were used to identify central nodes and bridge nodes, respectively.ResultsNetwork analysis showed that nodes “language ability” and “depressed mood” were more central nodes in the network of cold cognition and depression in all participants. Meantime, nodes “attention,” “language ability” and “hopeless” were three key bridge nodes connecting cold cognition and depressive symptoms. Additionally, the global connectivity of the cold cognition and depression network was stronger in the non-grandparenting than the grandparenting.ConclusionThe findings shed a light on the complex interactions between cold cognition and depression in the middle-aged and elder populations. Decline in language ability and depressed mood can serve as predictors for the emergence of cold cognitive dysfunction and depression in individuals during aging. Attention, language ability and hopelessness are potential targets for psychosocial interventions. Furthermore, grandparenting is effective in alleviating cold cognitive dysfunction and depression that occur during individual aging

    A novel plantar pressure analysis method to signify gait dynamics in Parkinson's disease

    Plantar pressure can signify the gait performance of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). This study proposed a plantar pressure analysis method with the dynamics feature of the sub-regions plantar pressure signals. Specifically, each side's plantar pressure signals were divided into five sub-regions. Moreover, a dynamics feature extractor (DFE) was designed to extract features of the sub-regions signals. The radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) was used to learn and store gait dynamics. And a classification mechanism based on the output error in RBFNN was proposed. The classification accuracy of the proposed method achieved 100.00% in PD diagnosis and 95.89% in severity assessment on the online dataset, and 96.00% in severity assessment on our dataset. The experimental results suggested that the proposed method had the capability to signify the gait dynamics of PD patients

    Graphene/silicon heterojunction for reconfigurable phase-relevant activation function in coherent optical neural networks

    Optical neural networks (ONNs) herald a new era in information and communication technologies and have implemented various intelligent applications. In an ONN, the activation function (AF) is a crucial component determining the network performances and on-chip AF devices are still in development. Here, we first demonstrate on-chip reconfigurable AF devices with phase activation fulfilled by dual-functional graphene/silicon (Gra/Si) heterojunctions. With optical modulation and detection in one device, time delays are shorter, energy consumption is lower, reconfigurability is higher and the device footprint is smaller than other on-chip AF strategies. The experimental modulation voltage (power) of our Gra/Si heterojunction achieves as low as 1 V (0.5 mW), superior to many pure silicon counterparts. In the photodetection aspect, a high responsivity of over 200 mA/W is realized. Special nonlinear functions generated are fed into a complex-valued ONN to challenge handwritten letters and image recognition tasks, showing improved accuracy and potential of high-efficient, all-component-integration on-chip ONN. Our results offer new insights for on-chip ONN devices and pave the way to high-performance integrated optoelectronic computing circuits
